This configuration is the counter-rotation variant with a 25-inch ultra-long shaft, weighing 403.4 pounds, and is finished in Tohatsu’s signature Aqua Marine Blue. The counter-rotation gearcase is engineered to pair with a standard-rotation MFS150A in twin-outboard installations, balancing torque and prop walk for more predictable docking, improved straight-line tracking, and superior stability under load. The 25-inch shaft length suits deep-transom center consoles, offshore boats, and pontoon applications where additional reach to the water is essential.
Performance comes from Tohatsu’s industry-first 4-2-1 Performance Tuned Exhaust manifold, which maximizes low-end torque and acceleration throughout the entire RPM range, and a unique SOHC-4V design with spark plugs strategically placed in the center of each combustion chamber for optimal heat conduction and efficient burn.
